Your on-site hosts
Doris and Doug, the on-site owners (both English & Italian speaking) live in an attached separate apartment on the mill property. They are very knowledgeable about the area and are available to help plan day-trips or make reservations at local restaurants.

They purchased il Mulino in 1999 and after 2 years of restoration moved permanently to the Lucca area in 2001. Doris has had a personal tie to the area as her mother immigrated from a local village to Milwaukee, WI just after WWII.

It's our hope to make your stay with us like a stay with old friends.
